Outreach

The IGWMC is committed to supporting a robust education and outreach program, promoting the education of K-12 students and teachers, as well as community members through STEM fairs, classroom lessons, field trips and educational partnerships.

Our staff is always happy to discuss field trips, classroom lessons and other educational needs with community members. Our lessons focus on Earth Sciences, particularly hydrology, but we are always willing to entertain new lesson ideas! Please contact us with any questions: igwmc@mines.edu

Educational partnerships play a large role in our outreach programs and we feel are the way to have the most impact in the K-12 system, so

Community education and outreach programs require a large number of volunteer instructors, which is why we are grateful to have so many CSM students participate! The IGWMC works closely with undergraduate and graduate student volunteers on campus to supply our instructor needs and provide experiential learning opportunities for participating CSM students.
