ZBSOFT
ZBSoft is a collection of groundwater modeling and utility programs for distribution with the companion disks for: "Chunmiao Zheng and Gordon D. Bennett, Applied Contaminant Transport Modeling: Theory and Practice (ISBN 0-442-01348-5), published in 1995 by Van Nostrand Reinhold, 115 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10003. The software is intended to help readers explore the modeling concepts and techniques discussed in the text and gain hands-on experience in transport simulation.
This version of ZBSoft contains:
ZBFLOW, a special
educational version of MODFLOW (McDonald and Harbaugh, 1988), for flow simulation;
ZBPATH, a special educational version of PATH3D (Zheng, 1989), for particle
tracking analysis, using the flow solution of ZBFLOW;
ZBTRAN, a special educational version of MT3D (Zheng, 1990; 1992), for solute
transport simulation, using the flow solution of ZBFLOW;
ZBIME, a special educational version of ModIME (SSP&A, 1995), as an integrated
modeling environment for ZBFLOW, ZBPATH and ZBTRAN.;
ATRANS, a general analytical solution for one-, two- and three-dimensional transport
from a patch source in a uniform flow field (Neville, 1994);
INTERP, a program for two-dimensional interpolation of randomly spaced data
to a regular or irregular finite-difference grid using kriging or inverse distance
algorithm; and
PM, an unformatted file reader for postprocessing the simulation results of
ZBFLOW and ZBTRAN.
Programs included in ZBSoft are intended to run on IBM-compatible PCs with a 80386 CPU or higher and an Intel-compatible math coprocessor.
Hardware and software requirements are:
At least 400K conventional
RAM and 4MB extended memory
Hard drive with at least 10MB free space
EGA/VGA/SVGA color monitor
Microsoft-compatible mouse and mouse driver
DOS 3.0 or higher
All executable
programs in ZBSoft run under the DOS operating system or in the DOS compatibility
mode of Microsoft Windows 3.1 or Windows 95.
