international ground water modeling center
Listed below are DEMOS of some of the software IGWMC has to offer, as well as some free, public domain software (indicated as PROGRAM). Detailed description of most programs can be found on this web site under the IGWMC Software listing. For others check our "software news" section. All the programs are set up as self-extracting files, which can be activated by typing the name of the file at the DOS prompt, or at the 'RUN' command from the Windows file menu, followed by the parameter -d (to include archived subdirectories). For example, to extract the files for the Hydrus-2D demo, type at the DOS prompt: HYDRDEMO -d. The Hydrus-2D and VisualModflow demos need to be installed before you can run them, while the others are ready to be used. Follow the instructions in the README.TXT, READ.ME, or README.1ST files first (after extracting them!).
Because some of these demos consist of a rather large number of files, you are advised to create a separate directory first, and copy the demo to this directory, before extracting the files. For the Hydrus-2D demo, you will need to install the program to a directory separate from where the installation program and data files are located.
If you have software or software demos you want to post on this site, send us an email, and we will give you the necessary instructions.
