THEISFIT uses a least squares procedure to obtain the "best" values for storage coefficient and transmissivity from experimental aquifer test data for an isotropic homogeneous nonleaky confined aquifer. It is based on an inverse formulation of the Theis equation solved using a least squares procedure. The program handles up to 80 observation data pairs. THEISFIT is menu driven and facilitates interactive data entry or input from an external disk file. Results are displayed on-screen or can be sent to a printer or external disk file.
THEISFIT is distributed on a DOS-formatted disk containing source code, executable image, and example data sets, and includes documentation.
